On this post, I would like to show the VCAP Upgrade by Course Attendance, without taking an exam.
You can acquire the newer version of VCAP by applicable course attendance, and this do not require to take an exam. You can upgrade from only one version prior of the latest VCAP version. Below is the overall image.
So the guidelines here are:
- Only need to attend a required course to upgrade
- No Exam needs to be taken
- Capable of upgrading to the latest VCAP version from only one version prior
- A course you’ve already attended before is NOT applicable for upgrade
Let me show an example on each solution track.
For VCAP-DCV solution track, you can upgrade to VCAP-DCV 2020 by only attending a Required Course below without taking an exam. It is capable of upgrading from only VCAP-DCV 2019. Upgrading from the older certification is not capable on this path. For each Deploy and Design certification, there is a corresponding course that can be used for the upgrade. Make sure to attend the right course for the right VCAP Deploy or Design certification.
For VCAP-DTM solution track, you can upgrade to VCAP-DTM 2020 by only attending a Required Course below without taking an exam. It is capable of upgrading from only VCAP-DTM 2019. Upgrading from the older certification is not capable on this path. For each Deploy and Design certification, there is a corresponding course that can be used for the upgrade. Make sure to attend the right course for the right VCAP Deploy or Design certification.
For VCAP-CMA solution track, you can upgrade to VCAP-CMA 2020 by only attending a Required Course below without taking an exam. It is capable of upgrading from only VCAP-CMA 2019. Upgrading from the older certification is not capable on this path. For each Deploy and Design certification, there is a corresponding course that can be used for the upgrade. Make sure to attend the right course for the right VCAP Deploy or Design certification.
For VCAP-NV solution track, you can upgrade to VCAP-NV 2020 by only attending a Required Course below without taking an exam. It is capable of upgrading from only VCAP-NV 2019. Upgrading from the older certification is not capable on this path. Either course of NSX for vSphere or NSX-T can be used. For each Deploy and Design certification, there is a corresponding course that can be used for the upgrade. Make sure to attend the right course for the right VCAP Deploy or Design certification.
