This blog post shows the list of VCP Certify and Upgrade Paths for Year 2020 version.
Below is overall picture of VCP certification.
VCP 2020 version is the only version you can newly acquire for this year. Other VCP versions are retired and no longer acquirable but anybody, not all but, already holding these certifications can use those for Upgrading to VCP 2020 version.
Here are the expected paths to acquire VCP:
- VCP 2020 Certification for the first time
- VCP 2020 Upgrade
- VCP 2020 Upgrade by Course Attendance
- Exception: VCP-NV 2020 – Having Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE
- Exception: VCP 2020 – Attended the older version course but not certified
- For vSphere 6.5 course attendance
Re-certification(This path is no longer applicable since there is no more expiration on VCP since 2019)Expired VCP(This path is no longer applicable since there is no more expiration on VCP since 2019)
