Announcing VMware Aria Operations for Networks 6.10 and SaaS

Many companies have already completed the first phase of their digital transformation. Companies are past the early phase of multi-cloud adoption of a multi-step journey. A key result for IT teams is they are now running more applications with a more complex network. These networks may traverse many layers of native public cloud, VMware Cloud, hosted facilities, and internal data centers. IT organizations that deliver these services have many constraints today. One key one is staffing the team with knowledgeable engineers. Another way to increase your team’s efficiency is to use solutions that leverage AI and Machine Learning to scale your teams.

VMware Aria Operations for Networks (formerly vRealize Network Insight) is a tool that helps reduce time spent monitoring the network, increase the efficiency of mapping the network infrastructure, improve troubleshooting with custom dashboards (read the blog), and help answer questions about the applications to provide more visibility. A key aspect is its use of machine learning to improve application discovery and mapping of the infrastructure so that your teams have an accurate view of what is running.

There will be several new capabilities in both the next SaaS release and on-premises version 6.10. This release will have the user interface updated with the “VMware Aria Operations for Networks” name. There will also be a key capability to make deployment easier called Network Device Auto-Discovery. Network Device Auto-Discovery will make onboarding infrastructure automatic. new usability improvements with Guided Network Troubleshooting, and more.

Other Enhancements

Other Network Assurance and Verification improvements include a new Guided Network Troubleshooting widget for troubleshooting on the summary panel. There are also improvements to the metrics chart for more information when looking at the infrastructure. A new API will be available for syslog server configuration so that companies can further automate setup.

Video Recording of Webinar

In case you missed the recent webinar, take a look at the recording. This is where we showed various demonstrations and capabilities to look into application metrics to run applications better. The recording covered three main examples with a live demonstration of where to look within applications metrics.

As customers run across multiple clouds, greater visibility will be needed. This latest release will help run applications with greater assurance and resilience while reducing the time required to monitor the network. Today’s complexity is inevitable, but having the right tools like VMware Aria Operations for Networks will reduce that complexity.
