As more and more companies look for ways to make their IT infrastructure more agile and efficient, hyper converged infrastructure (HCI) has become a top consideration. Initially it seemed infrastructure vendors were dismissive of this shift toward hyper convergence but now as top industry analysts like Gartner are increasingly recognizing HCI more and more vendors are moving into the space.
This week on the Virtually Speaking Podcast we bring in VMware Cloud on AWS specialist Glenn Sizemore. Glenn has a unique perspective of HCI and vSAN in particular because he has been competing against it for the past few years as a traditional storage vendor. Glenn recently wrote a blogpost vSAN from the eyes of a Storage Admin. In this post he tackles a few more common criticisms that have been mistakenly levied against vSAN and HCI in general.
