We have seen a tremendous amount of customer interest in optimizing endpoint security in VMware vSphere and VMware View environments. As server consolidation ratios rise and as large scale virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments roll out it is important to take a fresh look at endpoint security. While the tried and true practice of installing a thick security agent per virtual machine is certainly viable, there is a lot to be gained in taking a new approach that is optimized for the virtual environment.
VMware vShield Endpoint offloads antivirus and anti-malware agent processing to a dedicated secure virtual appliance delivered by VMware partners. Our offload approach dramatically increases consolidation ratios and performance by eliminating anti-virus “storms”, streamlines deployment, and satisfies compliance requirements. These capabilities combined with choice of industry leading endpoint security solutions are fundamental to your journey to the cloud.
VMware is proud to announce that McAfee is now shipping the McAfee MOVE Antivirus solution that integrates with VMware vShield Endpoint. The McAfee MOVE provides powerful, comprehensive, and consistent protection, and is managed and reported by the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator platform.
With the addition of McAfee we now have four actively shipping solutions with vShield Endpoint including:
Bitdefender Security for Virtualized Environments

McAfee Endpoint Security is best I also use that .
Are the 4 vendors in this blog still the only providers? Is there an official VMware page where the current 3rd party vendors that provide vShield Endpoint solutions are listed?
Hey nice to know that there are such advanced anti-virus software. In the past, there were very less software but the number of virus present were minimal. But as technology advanced, more harmful virus have come and they have drastically affecting the computers and laptops.
Es un gran placer leer post tan interesantes. Ahora mismo lo voy a publicar en mi blog, saludos!!
The debate goes back and forth as to whether antivirus or firewall software are more important. In terms of what you need to add to your system many computer users will find that in a real world situation their choice of antivirus software is the most important.
To be considered a true computer Virus, a program needs the ability to replicate itself and trigger its activity at specified events. A computer virus is just one of three types of programs known as “maliceware”.
Hey nice to know that there are such advanced anti-virus software like as McAfee. This is best blog. I really impress.
Your information about antivirus really useful…..its really helpful to people……….
we did a poc with trend deep security and the mcafee move product and found 3 key differences for recommending deep security.
1. move has no security for permiter servers
2. move only secures windows based servers
3. updates dormant vms as if they were turned on. cannot target dormant vms with confiker type virus’s
It’s actually a nice and helpful piece of info. I’m satisfied that you simply shared this useful info with us. Please stay us up to date like this. Thank you for sharing.
