Austin in June will be just as hot as the news off the presses this year at Open Source Summit North America 2022! This year’s summit is occurring in person in Austin, Texas and online wherever and whenever you are in the world. You can expect great networking opportunities and eye-opening sessions during these action-packed four days, from June 21 to 24.

Depending on your expectations and expertise, “reproducible build” can mean several different things. In this session, you’ll learn more about the three qualities that make a build truly reproducible:
- Deterministic build process
- Recreatable artifacts
- Binary, or bit-for-bit, reproducible
VMware open source engineers Rose Judge and Joshua Lock will place these definitions within the context of software supply chain security and why reproducible builds are important to ensuring trustworthiness and confidence in shipping code.

Sharing Is NOT Caring: Stop Sharing Your Kubernetes Cluster Credentials – Wednesday, June 22, 2:35 pm CDT
Kubernetes users are constantly running into authentication challenges. With Pinniped, those challenges are no more! Sharing credentials can put your system and even your entire platform at risk. Because it doesn’t use any user-specific credentials, Pinniped securely distributes kubeconfigs among users. VMware Community Manager Nigel Brown and Staff Developer Advocate Leigh Capili will discuss Pinniped, an open source solution, and how its architectural components solve Kubernetes authentication hurdles.
Peeling Back the Layers of Storage – Wednesday, June 22, 3:45 pm CDT
Linux storage systems can go from somewhat simple to incredibly complex in the blink of an eye.
