As the world of cloud continues to grow with many innovations, at the same time, so does its challenges; rising costs, unstructured governance, and my personal favorite, a whole new dictionary of acronyms to recognize.
While I don’t want to complicate your acronym dictionary further, there is one more that is critical to remember – CCoE.
What is a CCoE?
As stated in our white paper, The Next Generation of Cloud Management Starts with a Cloud Center of Excellence, a cloud center of excellence, or CCoE, is a cross-functional team that is tasked with supporting and governing the execution of the organization’s cloud strategy. This team establishes policies and guardrails, drives collaboration across teams, and supports implementation of new and existing cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities of a CCoE
- Own and execute the cloud strategy
- Drive collaboration and best practices across key stakeholders
- Evaluate and utilize technology to support business initiatives
Why do you need a CCoE?
A CCoE is an effective center of excellence that can help guide successful cloud adoption and lead transformation initiatives for an organization’s cloud journey. This team can aid in accelerating digital transformation with cloud strategy and collaboration – keeping business goals on track.
Why establish a CCoE with VMware Aria Cost powered by CloudHealth?
- Simplify financial management – Report spend by cost center, drive accountability against budgets, and find opportunities to optimize your cloud spend.
- Streamline operations – Create custom policies that automate daily cloud operations, speed decision making, and reduce risk.
