UPDATE: On July 7, 2020, VMware officially closed its acquisition of the True Visibility Suite team and products from Blue Medora.
For two years, VMware has been on a journey to deliver self-driving operations management from applications to infrastructure to our customers via VMware vRealize Operations. Powered by AI and predictive analytics, vRealize Operations helps IT run production operations hands-off and hassle-free with a unified operations platform.
To advance our self-driving operations efforts, today I’m happy to announce that we have acquired the True Visibility Suite team and products from Blue Medora. The True Visibility product suite provides integration solutions for vRealize Operations via management packs. They enable vRealize Operations to provide:
- Visibility and insight into customers’ broad data center and hybrid cloud environments via dashboards;
- Dynamic discovery of customers applications and infrastructure; and
- Metrics data that is mapped, analyzed and helps drives automation via a single, integrated view of customer environments.
We have partnered with Blue Medora and the True Visibility Suite team for years. They have helped us expand vRealize Operations’ self-driving management scope and support for packaged applications, middleware, data center infrastructure and public clouds. (Read Blue Medora’s blog post here).
As long-standing partners, the VMware Cloud Management business unit and the True Visibility Suite team have been close collaborators from business and product perspectives. Together, we have more than 400 mutual customers that count on us to monitor and manage their data center and hybrid cloud environments.
Customers can expect to benefit from the tighter integration of vRealize Operations and the True Visibility Suite—which VMware plans to continue to invest in, sell standalone and support. With access to rich data across more third-party applications, middleware, infrastructure and cloud, customers can expect broader and enhanced self-driving operations management across their hybrid clouds environments.
We look forward to welcoming the True Visibility Suite team to VMware. They’ve been our partners for years and soon we will be able to call them teammates. We’re excited about what we will be able to accomplish with self-driving operations as a combined team following close.
