I’m sure you’ve been following VMware’s progress during 2016 and saw our many new and exciting innovations. One of those was VMware User Environment Manager 9.0 (UEM). Do you know what’s new in this product? Do you understand the huge impact a product like this could have on your virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and physical desktop estate?

Join us for a brief webinar to discuss these exciting new advancements and the business benefits you could experience.

What is VMware User Environment Manager UEM

  • VMware Horizon Cloud Manager Integration: Offers a single console for IT administrators to build policy to control application deployment via VMware App Volumes, desktop deployment via Horizon 7 and security and usability policy to control those via UEM.
  • Application Authorization/Application Blocking: Enables IT administrators to build black and white lists of applications to control application and license sprawl using simple configurations.
  • Horizon Smart Policy: Enables IT to reach into the depths of Horizon 7 and set triggers and actions to apply dynamic policies based on end-user context such as location, platform, device and disconnect/reconnect to provision secure and tuned desktops and applications.
  • VMware ThinApp Personalization: Simplifies packaging and target customizations based on content which will bring implementing application personalization and configuration across native and virtualized applications into one product (supports ThinApp and other application virtualization vendors). The result is a dynamically manageable package rather than forcing packagers to anticipate application configuration when creating the virtualized applications –a fundamental step toward simplifying application lifecycle management.
  • Personal Data Control: Traditional folder redirection is incorporated into the UEM management console for end-user data transport or IT administrators can use a modern approach such as App Volumes Writeable Volumes.
