Workspace ONE and Zebra Simplify Android Migration for Fully Managed Devices

Device Admin Deprecation

Deprecation of Device Admin and migration to Android Enterprise have been recurring topics throughout our Android video series. These topics date back to our very first episode in 2018 when we discussed changes to both Android management and the Workspace ONE UEM console as related to Device Admin deprecation. Since then, VMware teams have been committed to offering support along the migration journey through resources and tools. Episode 11 of this series covered the Workspace ONE UEM migration tool for employee-owned devices.

Android Enterprise Migration with Zebra

In this episode, we are thrilled to be joined by Adam Arruda (Product Manager, Zebra Technologies) to discuss the Workspace ONE migration tool for fully managed Zebra devices. With the shared goal of moving to Android Enterprise, VMware collaborated with Zebra and Google to simplify migration efforts for IT organizations. The result is a migration tool built on Zebra’s Mx framework and integrated into the Workspace ONE UEM console. With the tool, organizations can securely migrate Zebra devices from Device Admin to the device owner policies of Android Enterprise and do so remotely with minimal end-user engagement. Check out the video below to learn more about the tool and migration to Android Enterprise.
