Rick Battle is the Head of the R&D AI Lab (RAIL) within OCTO, specializing in Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models. He’s the creator of AVA: VMware’s Automated Virtual Assistant, vNLP: VMware’s Natural Language Preprocessor, vBERT: the VMware-specific version of BERT, vAQA: VMware’s Automated Question Answering System, and vBetter: VMware’s internal Machine Learning community portal.
