Sajai Krishnan joined VMware in 2013 and serves as VP of marketing for the cloud management business unit, where he is responsible for product and technical marketing, business development and evangelism for the several hundred million dollar line of management and automation products. Krishnan has more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry, and is a recognized leader in the area of cloud computing and software defined storage. Prior to joining VMware, Krishnan served as general manager at Amazon Web Services where he was responsible for successfully launching the AWS Marketplace, the leading cloud app store for business software. Prior to AWS, he served as CEO at Parascale, a software defined storage company, which was acquired by Hitachi Data Systems in 2010. Then, he was interim CEO at Arkologic, a solid-state storage appliance startup. Before his startup stints, he served as GM of the SMB-focused StoreVault division at NetApp, where he led development of a product suite that won more awards than any other product at the company. Early in his career he was a Vice President and Officer at the management consulting firm Booz∙Allen & Hamilton serving the communications and technology industry. Krishnan holds a bachelor of science in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, and a graduate degree in computer science from Rice University. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School.
