Last year, CloudHealth Technologies introduced the industry’s first container optimization and governance solution for Kubernetes and Mesos orchestrators. Today, I am excited to announce the general availability of our support for Amazon ECS.
Amazon ECS has seen rapid adoption, and it is not by accident. Amazon ECS is a native AWS container orchestration service developed to deploy and scale applications based on containers. It helps organizations by eliminating the cumbersome steps to develop, deploy and scale a container. The API driven orchestration service simplifies integration and management. Deepak Singh, Director of Compute Services at Amazon Web Services mentions “Amazon ECS has proven to be very popular with midsize and enterprise customers as a tool to empower their application developers, while freeing them from mundane but important tasks. As we enable our customers to focus on more strategic differentiators, we believe CloudHealth’s container module uniquely provides them with the complete visibility they need around AWS resource consumption, cost management, and being able to identify opportunities to reduce spend.”
Our customers have been asking us for an Amazon ECS integration into the CloudHealth platform. This integration will help them gain complete visibility of the container environment to make better informed decisions. This integration also helps balance the right resources to support their clusters. Finally, managing across multiple orchestrators is now made easy. Tido Carriero, VP of Engineering for Segment, a CloudHealth Technologies customer, said, “As demand for our customer data platform continues to grow, so does our use of Amazon ECS. With CloudHealth, we gain unprecedented visibility into our container environment, which enables us to optimize our clusters and significantly reduce spend on an ongoing basis.”
We heard you. We have made it easy for you to ingest all the container data in our platform and then slice and dice it by cluster, business units, functions, users, clouds or by any logical grouping that you see fit. You can build dashboards to understand finances better and move towards a chargeback/ showback model. Simple reports now help with your resource consumption trending so that you can plan your spend better and control as needed. Thus overall you can reduce spend and gain efficiency with confidence.
