The Challenges Facing Software-Defined Data Center Security

An increasing number of IT professionals are turning to VMware NSX to secure the software-defined data centers (SDDC) using micro-segmentation. However, planning and implementing micro-segmentation requires comprehensive understanding of the traffic flows within the SDDC. As workloads move, micro-segmentation policies need to continuously adapt. Furthermore, there’s the question of managing the virtual as well as physical networking and security infrastructure. Niche and point solutions provide management of some elements and aspects, but are largely ineffective in providing comprehensive capabilities required to effectively troubleshoot networking and security issues in a complex SDDC environment.

VMware vRealize Network Insight delivers intelligent operations for software-defined networking and security. It helps build an optimized, highly-available and secure network infrastructure across multi-cloud environments. It provides quick time to value with a powerful and intuitive natural language search UI, maximum investment protection with support for leading network and security vendors and results-based actionable recommendations. It enables 360 visibility and troubleshooting across virtual, physical and multi-cloud environments. vRealize Network Insight quantifies the benefits of implementing micro-segmentation, accelerates micro-segmentation planning and deployment, and enables audit and compliance. Using vRealize Network Insight NSX deployments can be managed and scaled with maximum efficiency.
