As we’ve shared in previous blogs, we’re in the process of releasing a series of capabilities that are setting our Workspace ONE Mac management functionality on par with our world-renowned iOS management. As we continue to improve this, we want to ensure that we’re providing Workspace ONE users with all the tools necessary to get the greatest possible benefit.
Last year, we launched our free, 100% online macOS Management training program, and let you know that an exam and badge would be coming.
Today, we’re excited to follow that up by announcing the immediate availability of the new Workspace ONE for macOS Skills exam.
Step 1: Take your macOS Management training
In brief review, our training covers all of the macOS management functions available in Workspace ONE in detail, with topics like:
- Integrating Workspace ONE with Apple Business Manager
- Understanding enrollment types and device staging
- Understanding application management for macOS
- Understanding configuration management for macOS
Many of you have already taken advantage of our comprehensive training course to bring yourselves up to speed on all the various Mac management options available in Workspace ONE.
Step 2: Take the all-new exam and get your badge
The new Workspace ONE for macOS Skills exam is a 65-question test that will probe your understanding of our macOS capabilities and test how well you’ve retained what you learned in the online course.
Note that, while the training course is free to all, there is a nominal fee to take the exam and get the badge. We urge you to take the training as soon as you’re able (it’s a self-paced course) then take the exam and receive your badge so you can use it in email signatures and online forums.

Speaking of online forums, once you’ve become an expert in Mac management, it’s time for you to take your knowledge to the VMware Technology Network (VMTN), our online community of Workspace ONE and other VMware users.
