We’re excited to announce we’ve been named a Top Player in the 2019 Radicati Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Market Quadrant, positioned highest in functionality and furthest in strategic vision for VMware Workspace ONE UEM.Radicati UEMOver the past couple of years, market focus has shifted from traditional client management tools (CMT) and enterprise mobility management (EMM) to unified endpoint management (UEM), which enables organizations to securely manage any endpoint—from desktops and mobile to IoT devices—from a single pane of glass.

VMware’s UEM offering, Workspace ONE, is an intelligence-driven digital workspace platform. The platform enables IT to securely deliver and manage any app on any device by integrating access control, app management, and multi-platform modern endpoint management. In addition to its comprehensive support across Windows 10, macOS, Chrome OS, iOS, Android, QNX, and Tizen, Workspace ONE also includes analytics capabilities and support for customers migrating from traditional network-based CMT to modern UEM-based PC management.

As a Top Player in the UEM Market Quadrant, VMware was recognized for the breadth and depth of our product, as well as our solid vision for the future. According to the report, Workspace ONE was strong in several areas of functionality, including:

  • Real-time, over-the-air lifecycle management for corporate-owned or BYO mobile devices, desktops (including Windows 10 and macOS), rugged devices, and workspace IoT endpoints (including wearables) across a wide variety of operating systems.
  • Full modern management of Windows PCs with multiple out-of-the-box onboarding options, full device configuration support (MDM, GPO and BIOS/firmware), granular over-the-air patching and CVE-based vulnerability assessment, modern Internet-based and Peer-to-Peer software distribution, and Win32 app management.
  • Workspace ONE AirLift connector for co-management alongside Microsoft System Center Configuration Management, allowing customers to speed and de-risk migration of PCLM tasks to a more cost-efficient, secure and cloud-based modern management model.
  • Workspace ONE Intelligence, which aggregates, analyzes and correlates device, app and user data to provide data-driven recommendations that improve user experience, help optimize resources, and strengthen security and compliance. To manage risks related to modern-day cyber threats, Workspace ONE Trust Network combines insights from Workspace ONE Intelligence and trusted security partner solutions to deliver predictive and automated security in the digital workspace.
