One of the premier annual InfoSec events took place last week in San Francisco, drawing over 45,000 attendees from all over the world. The RSA Conference continues to be a place where customers can find the latest cybersecurity trends and products, learn from cybersecurity experts, and network in the cybersecurity space. VMware was thrilled to be a big part of the RSA Conference as we hosted customers in our booth, delivered theatre presentations, and met with many great partners and analysts.
Some of the key themes throughout the conference included leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning for better security, decreasing complexity by breaking down silos of security solutions, and showing solidarity to protect customers against global cyber-attacks. To better serve our customers, VMware and our End-User Computing solutions have aligned well with these themes. Just last month, we launched the industry’s first intelligence-driven digital workspace, powered by Workspace ONE Intelligence. We’ve had tremendous momentum with customers taking advantage of our Workspace ONE platform to help deliver and manage simple and secure access to any app on any device in the form of a secure digital workspace. With Workspace ONE Intelligence, customers can get complete visibility in their digital workspace to help enable data-driven decisions and increase security and compliance. In our booth, we showcased the security capabilities that Workspace ONE and Workspace ONE Intelligence offer, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), access management, contextual policies, application protection, encryption, analytics, machine learning, and automation.
To help customers decrease complexity amongst silos of security solutions they already have, we also launched Workspace ONE Trust Network last month. Workspace ONE Trust Network gives organizations a comprehensive and modern enterprise security approach to secure their evolving digital workspace. With capabilities that protect, detect and remediate against modern-day cybersecurity threats, Workspace ONE Trust Network provides predictive security and analytics by combining security capabilities from Workspace ONE and an ecosystem of integrated partner solutions. These partner solutions focus on mobile threat defense, cloud access security, endpoint detection and response, and more. Demos of our partner integrations, which are currently underway, were highlighted at our booth:
VMware also pledged to fight against cyber-attacks as a part of the Cybersecurity Tech Accord, which was first announced at the RSA Conference last week. This accord helps bring together leading tech and security companies in an effort to protect customers against global cyber-attacks. The commitment we’ve made, along with 33 of our partners in this accord, is to:
- Adopt principles to protect all of our users and customers everywhere
- Oppose cyberattacks on innocent citizens and enterprises from anywhere
- Help empower users, customers and developers to strengthen cybersecurity protection
- Partner with each other and with like-minded groups to enhance cybersecurity
Workspace ONE Intelligence, Workspace ONE Trust Network and the Cybersecurity Tech Accord are all ways that VMware and End-User Computing is helping our customers attain better security and reduce risk across their digital workspace – and the RSA Conference was a great platform to highlight these.
