For those of you interested in hearing Brian's VMworld session on "Virtual Desktop Infrastructure in Comparison to Terminal Server," more info is below:

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure in Comparison to Terminal Server: 2011 Edition
Presented by Brian Madden, TechTarget
Tues. @ 1:30 PM or Wed. @ 2:30 PM

VDI and Terminal Server are both solutions that serve remote Windows desktops from the datacenter. They both use the same remoting protocols. They both have many of the same advantages and disadvantages. So which one should you pick? Back in 2009, Brian gave a "VDI versus Terminal Server" session at VMworld. Back then the primary difference was cost. But what about today? You might be surprised to find out that Brian's views have evolved over the past few years. Yes, there are times when VDI makes sense and there are times with Terminal Server makes sense. In this session, Brian will show you how to decide which technology makes the most sense for your specific use case. (After all, in most companies it's not "VDI versus TS." It's usually more like "VDI and TS.

Looking forward to hearing Brian's point of view and seeing you all at VMworld Las Vegas on August 29.
