macOS Sierra & iOS 10: Horizon Virtual or Hosted Desktops & Applications
Whether you’re working on an iPhone or an iPad, Horizon Client support for iOS 10 builds on a foundation that delivers a great remote experience. It boosts battery life using hardware H264 offloading with Blast Extreme, delivers faster logins with TouchID and speeds application launches through Spotlight integration. The latest iOS client also adds support for the Swiftpoint GT mouse for improved productivity when using remote apps and desktops.
On the desktop, the Horizon Client for macOS Sierra has you covered. Only the Horizon Client for Mac delivers a seamless remote app experience where individual Windows apps run like Mac apps. They show up and save in the dock, work with Expose, and can be launched by Siri. The new 4.2 release supports hardware H264 offload with VMware Blast Extreme, URL content redirection to open local Mac apps and saving passwords in keychain.
macOS Sierra: Fusion Mac Virtualization
Also for the desktop, Fusion fully supports macOS Sierra running both as a host and a guest operating system. Better yet, the latest 8.5 release is a free update for all VMware Fusion 8 customers. With the latest release, customers can take advantage of some of the new macOS features including Tab View and Siri to easily manage multiple virtual machines on their desktop, and launch a guest application with Apple’s voice assistant. And if you are a Horizon FLEX customer, you can still seamlessly run Fusion 8.5 on macOS Sierra.

On the mobile side, AirWatch announced same-day support for iOS 10 last week. All eligible devices can upgrade to iOS 10 with no AirWatch management interruptions. Read last week’s blog to dive into the new iOS 10 management features and support details.
