Marc Fleischmann is the VMware Cloud CTO, where he is responsible for compute, storage and management across all endpoints/verticals. Before, Marc was CEO and Founder of Datera, an AWS-like elastic block storage and data services company for tier-1 clouds. Earlier, he was the GPM of Microsoft's Mediaroom BU, WW GM/SVP at Pixelworks (a public media processor company), and a senior executive at Transmeta (a public software-defined microprocessor company). Marc started his career at Hewlett-Packard Labs. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in C.S. and Business from KIT, along with a number of software and microprocessor patents.
