There's a new book coming out that you might be interested in. It's called 'VMware vSphere Design' and was co-authored by Forbes Guthrie, Scott Lowe, and Maish Saidel-Keesing. I have not read it yet myself, but according to it's page on Amazon, it looks like it strives to cover all of the important factors when designing a vSphere environment.
It's available for pre-order now and should be ready for the masses in March. Given the outstanding authors who wrote it, I'm looking forward to getting a copy!
