Marc Fleischmann is the VMware Cloud CTO, with industry-defining franchises like VMware Managed Cloud (VMC), Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSphere, HCI and vSAN. Before, Marc was CEO/President and Co-Founder of Datera, a storage and data services company for tier-1 clouds, and a Co-Founder of the Open-Source Business Alliance, Europe's largest open-source ecosystem hub. Earlier, he was the GPM of Microsoft's Mediaroom BU, a GM/SVP at Pixelworks (a public media processor company), and a senior executive at Transmeta (a public software-defined microprocessor company). Marc started his career as a Research Scientist at Hewlett-Packard Labs. Marc holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in C.S. and Business from KIT, along with a number of software and microprocessor patents.
