VMware Telco Cloud Awarded Interop Tokyo 2022 Best of Show Runner-up

The VMware Telco Cloud portfolio has been building momentum in the market for several years now. We’re thrilled to add acknowledge from them Interop to that line-up. 

VMware Telco Cloud Platform, VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance, and VMware RIC were selected as finalists for the Interop Best of Show awards in Japan last week. The Interop judges valued our product integration and named VMware as runners-up for a telco cloud solution which unlocks and accelerates communications service providers’ (CSP) business. 

VMware Telco Cloud Portfolio Overview 

VMware Telco Cloud Platform helps to accelerate the deployment of 5G CSPs by providing a common and cloud-native horizontal architecture with multi-layer automation. With Telco Cloud Platform, CSPs achieve flexible and efficient operations with unifed orchestration to centrally manage workload resources across the data center, core, RAN, edge and public clouds.

VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance monitors and manages complex virtual and physical infrastructure and services for CSP NOCs and SOCs, from 5G cores, transports, and RANs. The solution enables high-availability network operations and provides visibility across multiple layers of physical and virtual environments. Supporting VNFs and CNFs, Telco Cloud Service Assurance offers closed-loop automation and remediation capabilities based on machine learning and AI-based analytics, root cause and impact analysis. 

VMware RAN Intelligent Controller（RIC) is a critical piece of the O-RAN disaggregation strategy, bringing multivendor interoperability, intelligence, agility, and programmability to radio access networks. The RIC enables the onboarding of applications that automate and optimize RAN operations at scale while supporting innovative use cases that lower mobile operators’ total cost of ownership and enhance subscribers’ quality of experience.
