VMware has recently released a new Driver rollup ISO image for VMware ESXi 5.5.0. It is an installable ESXi ISO image which incorporates majority of the IOVP certified drivers with base ESXi ISO image from VMware. The Driver rollup ISO image is geared to provide seamless customer experience while installing ESXi on hardware which has newer devices, not be supported by the ESXi’s inbox drivers.
Partners are encouraged to keep their driver ready for “Day 0” IOVP certification, if they would like to incorporate latest version of drivers in the forthcoming driver rollup ISO images. Partners should contact their regular alliance contact for more information on the forthcoming release dates of VMware ESXi™ driver rollup image.
