Asynchronous replication streams data changes to the secondary site with minimal latency, and during failback, the management console leverages pg_rewind to synchronize only the delta, significantly reducing recovery time. This reduces Recovery Time Objectives and Recovery Point Objectives, enabling enterprises to maintain business continuity with minimal data loss and downtime.
Strengthened Security with LDAP Sync and Certificate-Based Authentication
Security and centralized management are enhanced with support for LDAP synchronization and certificate-based authentication for Postgres instances. User and group information can be synchronized from an external LDAP server to Postgres instances, streamlining user management and ensuring consistency across the fleet. Certificate-based authentication ensures secure client connections using SSL/TLS, while Site Reliability Engineers can manage authentication and authorization policies across all database service plans from a unified control plane in Tanzu Data management console.
