John Turner

John Turner is a seasoned IT professional with over 25 years of experience in the field. As the Director for Customer Marketing in the SASE BU at VMware, John focuses on helping organizations secure their remote and hybrid workforce through the deployment of SASE and ZTNA solutions. Throughout his career, John has been dedicated to ensuring the security and reliability of IT systems, with a particular emphasis on the challenges posed by remote and hybrid workforces. Before joining VMware, John served as the Senior Director of Cloud Security at Optiv, where he focused on building and delivering cloud security frameworks. He also held key roles as the Head of Customer Success at Nyansa (acquired by VMware),  VP of products at Adaptive Communications and General Manager for Microsoft solutions at Aruba. John got his start in IT at Brandeis University where he served as the Director for Networks and Systems.
