Introducing VMware Tanzu Insights

As organizations move to public cloud, they must focus on the full lifecycle of building, delivering, and managing the apps, as well as the platforms and infrastructure on which they run, including containers and VMs. The goal is to attain a culture of innovation while controlling costs, maintaining uptime, and enforcing governance. We are excited to announce the Initial Availability of VMware Tanzu Insights (formerly VMware Aria Insights). Tanzu Insights delivers explainable AI/ML based insights for deeper and contextual troubleshooting for Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure environments on VMware Aria Hub and Graph. Tanzu Insights enable visibility and correlation of AWS, observability via VMware Aria Operations for Applications and log alerts. The solution provides a unified platform enabling customers to leverage visibility and AI/ML based insights holistically.

Notably, proactive insights are automatically delivered to guide the troubleshooting flow, streamlining the incident resolution journey. The intelligent grouping of alerts by source brings a cohesive approach to managing multiple alerts effectively.

A key advantage of VMware Tanzu Insights is the ability to present events in real-time sequence, eliminating the need for juggling multiple isolated tools. By leveraging a unified data platform, VMware Aria Hub and Graph, users gain access to a single source of truth, ensuring faster and more effective issue resolution and remediation. This consolidated approach boosts operational efficiency, simplifies decision-making, and ultimately enhances the overall reliability of your systems.

We have also implemented several key features to enhance your alert management and troubleshooting experience. Firstly, the alerts originating resources are now highlighted, allowing you to quickly identify the source of any issues and streamline your response. Additionally, we have introduced alerting metrics, providing you with valuable insights into the performance and health of your systems.

To further facilitate efficient incident resolution, we have incorporated an impact view, which not only displays the affected resources but also identifies the impacted applications. This holistic perspective enables you to prioritize your actions and minimize downtime. When it comes to delving into the root causes of incidents, our troubleshooting workbench comes to the rescue. With its comprehensive toolkit, you can conduct in-depth investigations, uncovering the underlying issues and applying targeted fixes.
