Enhanced SD-WAN Insights with vRealize Network Insight
SD-WAN has become a trending WAN solution, especially with the way things are changing in the world today, with many companies shifting to having more employees work from home, making SD-WAN performance visibility even more critical today to ensure end-users receive the application performance that the end-users expect. In this blog, I’ll cover a few vital SD-WAN features found in vRealize Network Insight 5.2.
VMware SD-WAN Business Policy Enhanced Visibility
In vRealize Network Insight 5.2, we have added VMware SD-WAN Business Policy visibility so that administrators can monitor which SD-WAN application flows are consuming, which Business Policy at each SD-WAN Branch, Hub, or Data Center. It is critical that administrators can ensure that SD-WAN application flows are consuming the correct Business Policy and monitoring the performance of the SD-WAN Application Flows as they traverse the ISP and MPLS links connected to the VMware SD-WAN Edge or Hub. Business Policies are an enhanced Quality of Service feature that’s configured in the VMware SD-WAN Orchestrator. It allows the VMware SD-WAN Edge to optimize application behavior driving queuing, bandwidth utilization, link steering, and mitigation of network errors. Conclusion
VMware SD-WAN Business Policies play an essential role in ensuring that SD-WAN applications that are traversing the VMware SD-WAN Edges are optimized. More importantly, having visibility of each SD-WAN Application flow and the associated Business Policy becomes critical to ensure that the proper policy is applied for each application. With the enhancements added to vRealize Network Insight 5.2, you gain enhanced VMware SD-WAN Business Policy visibility along with application performance analytics per WAN link being traversed on the VMware SD-WAN Edge.
