What’s New in vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 1.1
Today, we are pleased the announce the general availability of vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 1.1. The new release delivers enhanced day two capabilities to minimize the effort IT team spend on configuration management.
IT infrastructure and operations team must spend time and effort ensuring the optimum configuration for vRealize products in every type of environments, from internal dev/test to production system. However, configuration is going to change naturally over time due to new releases, upgrades, new equipment, unauthorized changes and many other reasons. When the current state of your environment is different from the expected or correct state of your environment, we call the difference as drift. Drift is common and drift management is one of the key Day Two operational tasks to avoid undesirable or unplanned changes. vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 1.1 simplifies the drift management by enabling the following capabilities.
- Save “Golden configuration” as baseline
- Track and monitor configuration drift
- Drift remediation with one-click
Additionally, vRSLCM1.1 delivers several customers’ highly requested features, including “Delete Environment” and improved error handling at UI. We are also rolling out VMware Solution Exchange marketplace integration with vRSLCM.
