Once again I was honored to visit VMware HQ and conduct a series of interviews with the VMware Cloud Management group as part of the ActualTechMedia Roadcast series.
In this first group of videos that I’ll post from the interviews, I was happy to talk again with Taruna Gandhi, Product Marketing Manager in the Cloud Management Business Unit. Taruna and I talked about the new features in vRealize Operations 6.6. In the video, she tells us that the new version of vRealize Operations continues the existing theme of making cloud operations easy for customers to deploy, use and manage. Along this theme, VMware introduced a number of new features and improvements in version 6.6, all of which are designed to help IT teams plan, manage and deploy SDDC technologies with more confidence, says Gandhi, as well as plan to expand them into the cloud.

Automated Workload Balancing In vRealize Operations 6.6
In another video, I spoke with Gandhi about Predictive Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) and Automated Workload Placement, two exciting features in vRealize Operations 6.6. Gandhi talks about how these two capabilities tie in and work together in vROps, offering some hands-on examples and use cases of how they can help virtualization admins in the real world.
