VMware Workspace ONE Announcements

Workspace ONE Access and Hub Services, Workspace ONE Intelligence, Workspace ONE Assist and VMware RemoteHelp Achieve PCI-DSS Compliance

For many of our customers in the retail and finance industries, consuming cloud services that are PCI-DSS certified helps to simplify their overall compliance initiatives. As a result, many customers requested that Workspace ONE cloud services undergo PCI-DSS certification – and VMware listened.

As part of our continuously evolving compliance portfolio, we are pleased to announce that, in addition to Horizon Cloud Services, four Workspace ONE services have now achieved PCI-DSS compliance:

  • Workspace ONE Access and Hub Services
  • Workspace ONE Intelligence
  • Workspace ONE Assist
  • VMware RemoteHelp

Each of the referenced Workspace ONE services underwent a thorough assessment, extensively reviewing all 12 PCI-DSS requirements and how these offerings provide additional security around a customer’s overall PCI-DSS compliance strategy. Renewal of this compliance standard will be completed on an annual basis to continue to improve our services in support of our customers’ security needs.

PCI-DSS

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) was designed to enhance global payment account data security. This standard provides a baseline of technical and operational requirements and applies to all entities that store, process, or transmit cardholder data or sensitive authentication data such as account numbers, cardholder names, PINs, etc.

It is important to note that, while Workspace ONE services do not store, process, or transmit PCI data, they do provide our retail and finance industry customers with additional security to protect their environments that do contain cardholder data.
