For today, we’re sharing a broad overview of the keynotes and content catalog, so you can be ready for everything that happens during the show, online around the world on October 5–7, 2021.
Keynote and live sessions
There are two days of live sessions, broadcast in three global regions. (These are all broadcast from the VMworld home page, so it’s really the same schedule playing three times each day, which means you can watch in the evening or early morning if you want.)

This is the main keynote, where we’ll hear from Raghu Raghuram in his first keynote as CEO, and Sumit Dhawan, in his first keynote as president. This covers our company-wide strategy, which includes Anywhere Workspace and EUC.
Anywhere Workspace Solution Keynote: The Future of Hybrid Work Made Possible Today [VI3130] 25 minutes | AMER: 11:00 AM PDT / 2:00 PM EDT, October 5 | APAC: 12:00 PM SGT, October 6 | EMEA: 12:00 PM CEST, October 6
After the general session, there are three 25-minute cross-solution keynotes in a row, for Cloud, Apps and Anywhere Workspace. The Anywhere Workspace keynote will be led by Shankar Iyer, SVP and GM of EUC.
Remember, Anywhere Workspace is our name for the solution that brings together Workspace ONE, VMware SASE and Carbon Black. You can think of this as similar to the way we brought together UEM and VDI into Workspace ONE; now we’re adding even more cross-solution integrations to help customers with the needs of remote work. In this session, EUC CTO Shawn Bass will dive into announcements for Workspace ONE, covering employee experience, zero-trust security, unified endpoint management and more. At this point, the live player at the VMworld website will split out into eight different channels, so just select the EUC / Anywhere Workspace channel. We’ll have a team standing by to answer questions with our live Q&A chat function.

In the second half of our EUC keynote, Shawn Bass returns for two big topics. First, he will spend time on the relationship between SASE and EUC. (If we had been at VMworld in person, you know this would be a popular topic of conversation!)
Next, Shawn will be joined by Shikha Mittal, senior director of product management for Horizon, to look at what’s coming next for VMware Horizon.
