With a common goal of accelerating our customers’ digital transformation journey towards intelligent enterprise, SAP® and VMware are partnering to offer further integration between the two solution suites. Available today, application artifacts generated in SAP Cloud Platform Mobile Services can be published to any of Workspace ONE UEM environments or tenants with a single click. The key driver behind the integration is the growing need for automation and continuous delivery to minimize manual handoff errors, delays and accelerate application deployment.
If you take a look at the current handoff process between developers and Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) administrators, once the application artifact is ready, the application business owner downloads and shares the package through email or other repositories. The EMM admin has to acquire the right version of the application, upload it into the EMM console, assign and distribute it to the right group. This entire process is susceptible to human errors and delays. In addition, the distribution responsibility of the enterprise applications is shifting from the traditional EMM administrators to Application Business Owners. This created a need for initiating the application roll out from platforms more accessible to the application teams like build servers and app development platforms.
Enter Workspace ONE Integration with SAP Could Platform
Customers of VMware Workspace ONE UEM platform and SAP Cloud Platform Mobile Services can now take advantage of an integration between the two solutions. In the SAP mobile services console, customers will be able to configure multiple instances of their EMM environment like their QA, pilot, and production, including multiple organization groups of a particular environment. Once configured, app teams can publish any version of their application packages to the UEM console with a single button click, removing the need for error-prone manual handoff process.
Stay tuned for more exciting integrations between Workspace ONE UEM Platform and SAP Cloud Platform.
