As always, we had a great time at Citrix Synergy. It’s always fun to see the reaction of people that aren’t expecting us to be there. According to our data, over 70% of Citrix customers run their datacenters on VMware vSphere, but still people seem surprised that Citrix let us in to the show.
Workspace ONE Dominates
Most of the conversations we had were focused on Workspace ONE and how it can simply enable the delivery of any app (even Citrix ones!) to any device. By building Workspace ONE on top of AirWatch technology, we have given the platform the experience, maturity and device coverage that is unsurpassed in the market.
Introducing Workspace ONE Mobile Flows
The real hit of the booth was our new Workspace ONE Mobile Flows technology that allows end users to automate their everyday tasks. Or so I thought. Talking with so many IT practitioners at the show, it became instantly obvious that desktop admins are going to have a field day making their lives easier with workflows around trouble ticketing, password resets, and asset management.
Available on Azure and AWS
But it wasn’t all Workspace ONE. Our cloud champion Skip Gumble, shown here talking with customers, was kept busy enthusing to everybody that stopped by about our new VDI on Azure offering, or how customers can run Horizon 7 on AWS for capacity bursting, disaster recovery, or just plain old, co-location.
Workspace ONE Intelligence for Horizon
There was so much more. The new Horizon 7.5 was a big hit. The Workspace ONE Intelligence for Horizon and Horizon Apps really grabbed peoples’ attention. The fact that our system can detect, analyze and recommend alternative system configurations that might be more secure, more efficient, or simply more scalable, delighted people.
