Here at VMware, we’ve set out to enable workplace mobility by delivering rich, immersive virtual workspaces powered by VMware Horizon and NVIDIA GRID vGPU technology. Today, we’re excited to share that NVIDIA is announcing the next wave of innovation with its latest release—bringing enterprise-grade management tools to market to provide IT granular insight into the vGPU.
In a world where two times as many apps demand GPU acceleration today versus five years ago, it’s paramount we deliver an exceptional virtual user experience. Furthermore, 78% of IT professionals plan to virtualize desktops and apps this year, and NVIDIA’s latest monitoring tools will enable IT to proactively manage growing demand.
Our joint solution allows customers to leverage the best of both worlds by reducing cost, while delivering an exceptional user experience. Horizon, powered by Blast Extreme together with NVIDIA GRID, is the ideal solution to deliver high performance virtual workspace and significantly reduce latency and bandwidth consumption.
The Latest in Enterprise-Grade Monitoring
Our users benefit from increased performance and productivity by leveraging the power of GPU-acceleration for every app on any device. With this latest release, the benefits to IT are clear, too. NVIDIA’s monitoring solutions make it simpler for IT to manage their growing environments with existing tools such as Perfmon, NVSMI and GPUz or with an open software development kits (SDK). IT can now leverage a robust, enterprise-grade solution that enables an optimal user experience for every user.
Alongside this release, NVIDIA is announcing the general availability of the new Tesla M10 GPU platform. This platform dramatically lowers the cost of delivering virtual desktops, boasting the ability to serve an industry-leading 128 users per server. NVIDIA GRID’s enterprise-grade solution complete with enhanced monitoring capabilities and the new M10 platform will enable total flexibility and control of virtual graphics, and we’re excited to be on this journey with NVIDIA bringing the latest innovation to our customers!
We hope to see you at VMworld next week in Las Vegas to showcase these latest developments and share the power of Horizon and NVIDIA GRID.
