Next week is GTC 15 – where end users and the graphics technology ecosystem converge to learn how to tap into the growing power of the GPU.  Each year promises major steps forward in ground-breaking innovation, and this year is no different!  GTC15 will feature front and center, the industry leading joint solution for delivering secure, immersive graphics from the cloud – VMware Horizon with NVIDIA GRID vGPU.

With that in mind, we wanted to help draw your attention to several great ways to maximize the benefit of your time spent at GTC15.  NVIDIA and VMware have partnered to deliver a comprehensive suite of content that we’ve tee’d up for next week, connecting you with great demos, graphics virtualization expertise, best practice guidance, and insights from featured customers.

Breakout Sessions!

With VMware front/center at GTC15, it should be no surprised that we’ve packed the catalog with great sessions all week long.  I’ve conveniently listed them here, so don’t miss these opportunities to talk to our solution architects, ISV partners and customers first hand.  Let me specifically call out two that we’re especially excited about including:

S5542 – Scaling Out Virtual GPU with NVIDIA GRID and VMware Horizon

Host / Moderator: Pat Lee, Senior Director, VMware EUC Product Management

-join Pat for this session that will feature and roundtable with three of our customers and ESRI, discussing their experiences deploying GRID vGPU with Horizon.  Pat will be joined by:

  • ESRI – John Meza
  • HDR – Clint Pearson
  • Metro Health – Aivars Apsite
  • Siemens Windpower
  • When: Wednesday, 3/18
  • Time: 10:00 – 11:00

I also want to make a special call out to:

S5897 – vGPU Throwdown: NVIDIA vs. VMware – 60 Desktops in 60 Minutes

Come see teams of the best engineers from both NVIDIA and VMware battle for proof of concept supremacy by building a pool of virtual desktops from bare metal in the shortest amount of time.

  • When: Tuesday, 03/17
  • Time: 17:00 – 18:00

Additionally we’ve got these great sessions lined up:

Tuesday 3/17 at 3pm PT

S5533 – Dedicating GPUs for VDI and SBC Workloads: How the ROI and Business Value More Than Justifies the Expense

Who doesn’t love a hands-on demo and the chance to kick the tires in a live show-floor environment?  With that in mind, our demo team has been hard at work configuring an immersive demo with the latest version of Horizon 6 powered by GRID vGPU, running AutoCAD Design Suite.  Stop by our booth #709 and check it out while you’re on the show floor.

Direct Access

After a very successful beta / Early Access program that saw over 600+ applicants and 400+ active participants, NVIDIA and VMware launched a brand new program aimed at helping customers accelerate the success with deploying scalable production environments built on Horizon with GRID vGPU.  The “Direct Access” program offers unique benefits to qualified applicants, including:

  • Direct access to NVIDIA and VMware resources to help optimize your deployment
  • Receive early access to evaluate new technologies and products
  • Exclusive community moderated by NVIDIA/VMware experts
  • Provide direct input on the product to NVIDIA and VMware product teams to influence future offerings
  • Priority Access to consulting services from both VMware and NVIDIA (costs associated)
