In my previous blog post I included ten not-to-be-missed EUC breakout sessions at VMworld. Since then we’ve added a few new sessions to the agenda that I want to make sure you consider adding to your schedule.
Recently VMware launched Safe Passage, a new program designed to help desktop, application and mobile customers make the switch from Citrix or their current mobile device management (MDM) platforms to VMware Horizon and AirWatch. The interest from customers so far has been overwhelming! If you’re one of those who is considering making the move and wants to see how it’s done successfully, there are a few great sessions you need to register for today:
- EUC3386 – Seeing is Believing! – Citrix XenApp Migration to VMware Horizon 6 : This session, presented by two VMware architects, outlines strategies, tools, and service kits to help you migrate from Citrix XenApp to VMware Horizon. They will demo the tools and demonstrate several Citrix XenApp-to-Horizon migration scenarios using real-world case studies. If your organization is considering a migration from Citrix, this session is an absolute can’t miss.
- EUC2654 – UK Hospital Switches From Citrix XenApp to VMware Horizon Saving £2.5 Million and Improving Patient Care. If you have read my prior blog posts, you know that I really gravitate toward sessions that detail customer success with VMware technology. This session details how the hospital, with over 14,000 IT users and over 7,000 PCs, transformed their desktop computing environment using VMware Horizon, VMware Mirage and VMware Workspace Portal. It is a rare opportunity to hear a customer share their real world experience and learn from their success.
- EUC2126 – Preview the Latest Release from AirWatch. In this session, Kevin will cover what’s new with AirWatch. He will delve into latest features and functionality available across our Enterprise Mobility Management platform, including Mobile Device Management, AirWatch Workspace, Mobile Application Management, Mobile Content Management and Mobile Email Management. He will also demo the AirWatch platform, making it very clear why it’s time to make the move to AirWatch.
We’ve got a few more sessions up our sleeves so stay tuned for another reveal shortly…and be sure to follow us (and me) on Twitter for others that get announced live at the show!
