Since it’s just the second week of January, I’d like to wish everyone Happy New Year before my window of opportunity closes. If you’re like me, you probably can’t believe how quickly time flies when you’re having fun and 2013 was certainly a year filled with excitement.
The EUC team had a lot of notable achievements last year with the launch of Horizon Suite, Horizon View 5.2 and 5.3, ThinApp 5, the acquisition of Desktone and the support for Cisco DaaS.
It was certainly a team effort by everyone in the organization but what is most gratifying to me is to hear that our customers appreciated our efforts as well.
That is why I am excited to start the New Year by celebrating the fact that readers of Virtualization Review magazine have selected three EUC products over the competition as their product of choice for application virtualization, VDI and BYOD. VMware EUC solutions dominated the end-user computing category with wins and it’s a testament to our continued commitment to technology innovation and ongoing customer engagement.
The winning products and categories in the 2014 Virtualization Review Reader’s Choice Awards and Ultimate Buyer’s Guide include:
- Reader’s Choice Award: Desktop Virtualization and VDI – VMware Horizon View
- Reader’s Choice Award: Mobile Virtualization and BYOD – VMware Horizon Suite
- Reader’s Choice Award: Application Virtualization – VMware ThinApp
I also wanted to congratulate our partner Dell for winning the Reader’s Choice Award for Thin-Client & Zero Client Computing. We’ve had a lot of success working together to service customers and I look forward to doing even more in the coming year.
In closing, I want to thank all of you who voted for us for these awards. I promise that we will continue to listen to what our existing customers have to say and what our prospective customers want to see from our products and us.
