Among Pearson VUE’s survey findings, one stood out. The research indicated that, of the 10,000 certified professionals surveyed, 34% reported salary increase as one of the benefits realized. Additionally, for 24% of them the increase was substantial, twenty percent or better.

The 15 Top Paying IT Certifications for 2020 is based on survey responses from the Global Knowledge 2020 IT Skills and Salary Survey, scheduled to be released this spring. According to the article, the study’s goals center on cybersecurity, cloud computing, enterprise IT, networking and clarifying what skills professionals need to earn higher salaries and excel in their careers.
The VMware certification included on this exclusive list, VCP6-DCV, validates the skills needed to build a scalable virtual infrastructure using VMware vSphere 6. Certification candidates learn how to deploy, consolidate and administer virtualization technologies, such as vSphere High Availability and Distributed Resource Scheduler clusters. IT professionals with this credential have earned an average of 7.4 career certifications, the highest amount on this list.
