Mastering your private cloud strategy just got easier at VMware Explore 2026 in Las Vegas. We’re introducing two brand-new, interactive technical workshop tracks built directly around real-world lessons from large enterprise deployments of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
Delivered in a collaborative, small-group format, these workshops offer a unique space to delve into practical problem-solving, address common upgrade hurdles, and trade insights with industry peers.
The first track focuses on designing and architecting private cloud infrastructure, while the second track addresses how different teams should consume and manage this infrastructure for various workloads.
1. Designing and Architecting Private Cloud with VMware Cloud Foundation 9 [AW1835LV]
Designed for architects and platform teams, this workshop track covers the core architectural and operational considerations for designing a VCF 9 fleet. We’ll examine real-world design scenarios and proven strategies for modernizing and running private cloud platforms with VCF 9. You will also get VCF upgrade recommendations and planning assistance to help you avoid hardware bottlenecks or service disruptions on the path to modern private cloud.
2. Consuming Private Cloud with VMware Cloud Foundation: Self-Service and Modern Applications [AW1836LV]
This workshop explores how customers are enabling self-service infrastructure, modern application platforms, Kubernetes services, and multi-tenant environments with VCF. You’ll learn about common consumption patterns, design considerations, and lessons learned from customers as they evolve from infrastructure deployment to delivering private cloud services at scale. The workshop also offers guidance for transitioning from vCloud Director and vRealize Automation to modern, streamlined VCF Automation.
