We are kicking off vSphere LIVE for the summer. Block your calendar off for next Tuesday, June 13 from 10 to 11 AM Pacific (-0700) to stop by the vSphere YouTube channel, wherein I, Bob Plankers, will be talking about WHY you should upgrade to vSphere 8. We’ll go over some of the big features in vSphere 8 and 8 Update 1, then talk pragmatically about the decision to upgrade, things to think about, and what resources are available that help cover the “HOW to Upgrade” question (things like the informative vSphere 8 Upgrade Activity Path on core.vmware.com). Most of the discussion will be good for a vSphere 7 upgrade, too, so don’t let the version number scare you off.
Unlike many webinars: IT’S COMPLETELY LIVE. Bring your questions and I’ll answer as many of them as I can on the air (undoubtably there will be others from VMware in the chat, too, which I’m always deeply appreciative of). We always have a good time with these and it’s fun to talk to the community.
In addition to YouTube we’ll also be broadcasting on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, too, if those are more your style. It’ll be recorded and available afterwards on the YouTube channel.
The direct YouTube link is: https://www.youtube.com/live/4Z3sTJdXOjg — go over there, subscribe to the channel, and then “ring the bell” to get a notification when the stream starts on Tuesday.
The next vSphere LIVE after this will be on Thursday, July 6, at 11 AM Pacific (-0700) and cover secure system design, ransomware prevention, and more with our friends from the VMware Office of the CTO.
