It’s been a crazy year, to say the least. From the pandemic to ransomware attacks to commercial space travel, a lot has happened. And we’ve watched most of it unfold remotely from our homes.
October will be no different as we embark on VMworld 2021. We’ll once again join each other virtually for the event where Kubernetes, ransomware, and cloud are sure to take center stage.
So what has Pure been up to over the past year since VMworld 2020? Here are a few highlights:
The Portworx® Acquisition and Tanzu Certification
Pure acquired Portworx in October 2020. Six months later, Portworx was certified for Tanzu. This allows VMware customers to combine the simplicity of Tanzu’s infrastructure management with Portworx’s enterprise data services.
VMware Cloud Foundation on FlashStack provides an enterprise infrastructure for running your private cloud. Now, with the as-a-service option combined with VMware’s Cloud Universal licensing, you can have your cake and eat it too with an on-premises private cloud with a flexible consumption model.
1 Platform for vVols
One of the key partnerships between Pure and VMware has been around vVols. As a testament to our partnership and vVols implementation, FlashArray™ is now the leading platform for vVols according to VMware.
While that was a lot of great stuff, you’re probably wondering what you can look forward to at this year’s VMworld? You won’t want to miss these sessions from our teams:
