Sessions VMworld 2021

What’s new with content at VMworld 2021?

By Maryam Scoble, Manager of Event Content.

We just closed the Call for Proposals for VMworld 2021 and received nearly 1,500 submissions. We reached out across the VMware biosphere to customers, partners, community members and our own employees and experts to share digital transformation stories, innovative solutions, best practices and the latest features of new releases.

Our content review team is now hard at work to pick the top submissions that best embody our guiding principle to educate current and potential customers on how to solve the digital infrastructure and cloud computing problems they face today and in the future.

So, what’s new with content for VMworld 2021? We read all your feedback and have made some improvements.

You wanted to hear from peers and customers. Customers come first for VMware and customer speakers will be front and center in our sessions. Our partners work with us hand in hand to support our customers in the best way and we will be featuring our partners’ innovative technologies that help customers at VMworld as well.

You wanted more chances to interact with experts, so we have added more Meet the Expert sessions and Tech+ Tutorials. You’ll be able to upgrade to Tech+ pass to add these sessions to your agenda throughout the conference.

And while you want to stay up to date with industry trends and new technology, you have always asked for technical content. We have plenty of each for you at VMworld 2021. Business sessions ranging from level 100 and 200 and technical session level 100 and 200 will satisfy your thought leadership and curiosity on new product announcements and innovative technology while sessions with T300 level will allow you to get under the hood and hone your technical skills.

Finally, you asked for some of your favorite programs to come back: Back on the agenda based on popular demand are VMware Design Studio and VMware {code} sessions. Look for these on the content catalog when it launches in July.

Online again this year, you will be able to search areas of interest to add sessions to your agenda. These areas of interest include: managing and operating multiple clouds, migrating and modernizing to any cloud, securing modern apps and cloud services, embracing DevSecOps, adopting Kubernetes, evolving industry trends, emerging technologies, diversity, equity and inclusion, sustainability, professional development and many more. Expect to find multitude of sessions on multicloud, modern apps, security, networking and workspace in variety of session types and levels for our diverse audiences.

We are so grateful for the interest and support of our customers, partners, and community members and so proud of our experts, employees and staff. Diversity, equity and inclusion play an essential role not only on how we choose our speakers, but also in the content. Last year, VMworld 2020, hosted over 100k attendees online from 180 countries. We had over 900 business and technical sessions and 1000 expert speakers. We read all of the surveys, listened to your feedback, and we are doubling down on all that you liked and improving our content for an even better and bigger VMworld 2021. Let’s rock VMworld 2021 together. Registration opens June 15, 2021.
