VMworld 2020 Know Before You Go

We look forward to welcoming you to our first-ever digital event, VMworld 2020. Get ready for 48 hours of non-stop innovation with industry leaders, subject-matter experts, and thousands of IT professionals. To make the most of your experience, visit our Plan Your Experience page. Below, we’ve shared a few more helpful tips for accessing different parts of VMworld 2020.

Browser

To ensure a smooth experience with our platform, we recommend using one of the following browsers to attend: Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Internet Explorer is not supported.

VMworld Mobile App

Download the VMworld mobile app to network with attendees, browse the content catalog to schedule sessions, and provide feedback. The app is available on Apple and Android by searching VMworld 2020 and will be available within the coming days. To meet other attendees, be sure to opt in for the attendee list. Then, select the Networking tool to find other attendees with similar interests and start a direct chat with your fellow participants. However, only attendees who opt in for networking will be able to chat with each other.

VMworld Sessions

Sessions for VMworld will be conducted primarily in English. Closed captioning is available in the following languages for the General Session, Solutions Keynotes, and Fireside Chat with Pat: Spanish (Latin American), Portuguese (Brazilian), French, Russian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. To activate closed captioning, hover over the player, press the CC button on the lower right-hand side, and then select the language of your choice.

NEW Feature – Within the content catalog, you can export your sessions to your calendar (Outlook – VCal, Mac – ICal, and CSV). Simply login, visit My Schedule and select the download button on the top right. Feel free to modify your calendar invites to include the direct link to the session once available. If changes are made to your schedule after it’s been exported, your calendar invite will not automatically update.

Premier pass holders can also schedule a 1:1 consultation and join an expert-led roundtable. Just access the scheduling tool through your My VMworld profile. These sessions will not be available on-demand after the event. Premier passes are now sold out.

We highly encourage all attendees to catch the NewV session to make the most out of your experience. This session is available here.
