We’ve added new feeds to Planet V12. Take a look, if it’s not your home page yet. Here are some of the new feeds:
- blog.scottlowe.org. Scott Lowe’s been on a roll with a lot of original content, including posts on VM Portability, iSCSI on Solaris 10 x86, the Future of the OS, and a great walkthrough of NIC Teaming and VLAN Trunking on ESX Server.
- h0bbel. Christian Mohn works on web photo album Gallery, which is available as a virtual appliance. Recently he has talked about ESX Server vs Virtual Server and a 3-month progress report in his VI3 deployment.
- InfoWorld Virtualization Report. This is David Marshall’s second blog after VMblog. Of special interest is his regular podcast series.
- RoudyBob.NET. Bob Roudebush has recently covered vThere, Parallels Desktop, and Moka5. He even occasionally posts about VMware.
- TarryBlogging. Tarry Singh covers everything from strategy to virtual appliances in Africa to VMware Converter.
- Virtual Infrastructure 411. Alex Weeks did yeoman’s work covering VMworld, and has recently been posting about Novell, SUSE, and Netware.
- Virtualization Daily. Kimbro Staken has been adding a great personal spin covering virtual appliances and the role of the OS on the virtualized desktop.
- virtualize.wordpress.com. The title of Martijn Lohmeijer’s blog is actually "Documenting a virtualization project: Progress of our migration to VMWare Virtual Infrastructure 3", and it’s a fascinating peek into their virtualization deployment.
I’m excited about increasing the amount of conversation and interaction in the virtualization blogosphere. There’s plenty of conversation in the VMTN Forums, but over here on the blog side, we’ve mostly focused on gathering all the news and product developments into one place. It’s probably time we expand the conversation. So go check them out, leave a comment, and make yourself heard!
