The Call for Proposals for Quick Talks at VMware Explore 2025 Las Vegas is your opportunity to share knowledge, experiences, and success stories with your peers. Whether you’re showcasing a technical demo, discussing real-world applications, or sharing career advice, your voice matters!

How to Submit Your Session

Like last year, the submission process for Quick Talks is part of the main VMware Explore Call for Proposals (CFP).

When submitting, select Quick Talk from the Session Type drop-down menu, then choose whether your topic is related to Broadcom Community, VMware {code}, or SpringOne

What Makes a Great Quick Talk Submission?

Submitting a Quick Talk for Broadcom Community? Here are some great tips!

These Quick Talks are short, impactful sessions designed to foster peer learning and engagement. These sessions should be relatable, insightful, and practical—sharing real-world experiences and solutions that attendees can take away and apply.

Key Ingredients:

  • Authentic storytelling – Share a real challenge and how you solved it.
  • Practical takeaways – Attendees should leave with actionable insights.
  • Engaging delivery – Keep it clear, concise, and interesting.
  • Community spirit – This is about peer learning, so make it interactive if possible.

Popular Topics:

  • Real-world use cases & lessons learned
  • Career growth
  • Home labs & community projects
  • Day-to-day IT operations & troubleshooting
  • Industry trends & insights

Your session can be as technical as you want it to be, but keep in mind that the audience includes beginners as well as experienced professionals.



Submitting a Quick Talk for VMware {code}? Here are some great tips!

These sessions dive deeper into technical content, focusing on automation, scripting, APIs, and developer tools. These sessions should be hands-on, informative, and practical—helping attendees level up their technical skills.

Key Ingredients:

  • Live demos & technical walkthroughs – Show code in action.
  • Step-by-step guidance – Help attendees follow along with clear instructions.
  • Advanced technical insights – Ideal for experienced users looking to go deeper.
  • Innovative use cases – Showcase unique or cutting-edge applications of VMware tech.

Popular Topics:

  • Advanced troubleshooting techniques
  • Automation & scripting (PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • API integrations & development
  • Kubernetes & containerization
  • Security & infrastructure as code

Submission DOs:

  • Read submission guidelines carefully before submitting.
  • Consider your topic carefully and include:
    • A compelling title
    • An engaging abstract
    • Clear attendee value
    • Include accurate product tags – Attendees search for sessions based on product relevance.
  • Highlight the value – Why should people attend your session?
  • Get the word out – Encourage others to submit!

Submission DON’Ts:

  • Submit multiple sessions on the same topic with different speakers.
  • Get too creative with your title – Catchy titles are fun but should accurately reflect your content.
  • Assume you will be speaking at the event – You will receive confirmation if/when your session is accepted and a speaker pass is assigned.
