vSpeaking Podcast Ep 147: Working from Home

As early as January, many were predicting 2020 to be the year of the remote worker, but even the most optimistic telecommuting advocates couldn’t have anticipated the emphasis on working from home brought on by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). As scientists continue working on a vaccine the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is advocating community-based interventions such as school dismissals, event cancellations, social distancing, and creating employee plans for working remotely to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

For some, this is business-as-usual, but for others the idea of working remotely may sound impossible. This week on the Virtually Speaking Podcast we walk through some of the more popular tools for remote workers and we welcome Ken Werneburg to share his perspective on how to make the most out of Working from Home. As an added bonus we had the opportunity to hear from Dr Erin Nicholson (yes, John’s wife) Dr Nicholson is a pediatric infectious diseases specialist and was able to share a few helpful tips on preventing the spread of COVID-19. Wash your hands and then enjoy the episode.
