Motivation Behind Critical Applications on vSAN
Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) remains one of the most the most talked about infrastructure technology. While it had its humble beginnings in targeted use cases, like VDI, as the architecture advanced and became proven, HCI has moved well past that “limited use” phase. A recent TechValidate survey of our customer base shows that 65% of them are using vSAN for their Business-Critical Applications. We’ll hear from major Fortune 100 companies at VMworld that have gone “all-in” on HCI powered by vSAN, with some having 100s of clusters or 75+ petabytes of storage.
This number is only bound to increase as we expand our ecosystem by bringing support for more business-critical applications. HCI powered by VMware vSAN is now powering solutions for use cases spanning Edge to Core to Cloud making it a key cog in the digital transformation efforts of many enterprises.
The HCI Zone
We worked closely with our key hardware partners to showcase vSAN powering various solutions. The exciting demos include demonstrate vSAN being deployed for some of the most demanding applications, like SAP HANA, to scaling down for Edge/ROBO environments that run something like Video Analytics.
