VMware and Hitachi Data Systems are pleased to introduce two solutions: The Hitachi Unified Compute Platform HC V240 (UCP HC V240) and the Hitachi Unified Compute Platform 2000 (UCP 2000). Both solutions enable midmarket customers to modernize their IT Operations with a converged architecture. The UCP HC V240 is a hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solution, certified in the VSAN Ready Node program and based on VMware Hyper-Converged Software (HCS) stack, comprised of VMware vSphere, VMware vCenter Server and VMware Virtual SAN. The UCP 2000 converged infrastructure leverages VMware vSphere, VMware vCenter Server and VMware vRealize Operations.
Hitachi UCP HC V240
The UCP HC V240 is the first solution from Hitachi to take advantage of the latest enhancements to the VSAN Ready Node consumption options. The newly-extended Virtual SAN Ready Node program allows partners like Hitachi much more flexibility in creating differentiated HCI offerings, by performing a factory pre-installation of the VMware HCS stack.
UCP HC V240 builds the foundation for business applications and next-generation solutions with the introduction of a HCI architecture built on standard Intel x86 rack-based servers with VMware HCS along with HDS value-add software. UCP HC V240 enhances business agility by allowing IT to build, deploy, scale, and maintain their hyper-converged infrastructure through a more agile operational framework. UCP HC offers a fast path to new application and technology adoption, optimal deployment, and consistent operations across midmarket, enterprise, departmental, remote office, and MSP environments.
Hitachi UCP 2000
The UCP 2000 converged architecture is comprised of commodity, rack-based servers, Hitachi VSP unified storage array, and HDS value-add software. UCP 2000 leverages modular building blocks that scale independently and provide customers with greater configurability, flexibility. Built on standard Intel x86 rack servers to provide the foundation for innovation and account for the majority of all servers in today’s virtualized data centers, driving down cost and providing higher performance for peak workloads. UCP 2000 provides midmarket, enterprise, departmental, and MSPs with enterprise scale, efficiency, and agility not found in other solutions.
