VMware Tanzu Product Releases
In this section, we will add releases information on Tanzu Platform for Cloud Foundry, Tanzu Platform for Kubernetes, Tanzu Data Services, and Tanzu Spring Essentials Products that are part of Tanzu Platform and Standalone solutions along with its release date and release notes. VMware Tanzu Platform
Stemcells (Ubuntu Jammy FIPS)
- FIPS release for 1.737. Updates can be found on 2025/01/31 Tanzu Updates
- Disable cloud logging to avoid a bug in the current version of the google-guest-agent package
VMware Tanzu Data Solutions
Tanzu RabbitMQ on Cloud Foundry
- There is a known issue in ESXi v8.0 before Update 3, which leads to repeated Erlang segmentation faults. This is fixed in ESXi v8.0 Update 3.
- Changing the erlang cookie can cause failed deployments: Changing the Erlang cookie value requires cluster downtime and can cause failed deployments.
- This is a maintenance release
- Bumped component releases: Tanzu RabbitMQ
Tanzu GemFire
- Tanzu GemFire 9.15.15 includes fixes for the following security issues:
- Spring: CVE-2024-38816
- Apache Commons IO: CVE-2024-47554
- DOMPurify: CVE-2024-47875, CVE-2024-45801
- Connect2id Nimbus JOSE+JWT: CVE-2023-52428
- Spring Framework: CVE-2024-38820
- Jetty: CVE-2024-8184
- Tanzu GemFire 9.15.15 resolves the following issues (see issues for full list):
- Fixes a file descriptor leak when a TLS handshake times out.
- Prevents two different clients connecting with the same durable client ID.
- Tokens are now redacted the same way passwords are and will be replaced with asterisks in places such as logs and gfsh history.
Tanzu Greenplum
- VMware Greenplum 6.28.2 is a maintenance release that includes new features and resolves several issues.
- gprecoverseg command interrupt handling, ensuring a graceful cleanup when the user interrupts an executing gprecoverseg process.
- gpexpand to ignore the SIGHUP signal and continue running, even if the surrounding terminal exits.
- Resolves a memory accounting issue in tuplestore leading ot out of memory errors
- Resolves an issue with gpssh terminal size
- Resolves an issue where gpmt gp_log_collector would fail to collect Greenplum Database logs from segments.
Other Releases
Scheduler
- Scheduler now upgrades its own mysql service instances if needed.
- Fix smoke test errand when running on air-gapped environment.

Broadcom Support Portal – Download – Access changes
Tanzu Entitlement Requirements for Support Portal Download – Starting March 3rd 2025, downloads will be only accessible to entitled users. After this date, all users will still be able to view a product release in the ‘My Downloads’ section of Support Portal, but non-entitled users will see either a UI popup ‘Not entitled’ or a similar API response.

Telegraph exporter is not collecting metrics after upgrading to VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition 1.19.1 – This is a known issue affecting TKGI 1.19.1 and will be fixed in 1.20.1. Check the resolution steps in the article.
